Session Overview:

It is impossible to have employees without also having a myriad of records and documents that must be kept in various forms and for various time periods.  Personnel files, job applications, accident & injury reports, investigation, discipline and termination records are just some of the many employee-related documents that exist in any business, not to mention email, time records and other “documents” kept in electronic form.  This discussion covers legal compliance issues as well as HR best practices for document creation and retention.

 About our Speaker:

Attorney Jennifer Corso has represented Cleveland area employers in labor & employment law for almost 20 years.  Jennifer offers employers a proactive approach to employment matters, innovative solutions, and top rate advocacy in defending employee claims.  Her work ranges from employee handbook drafting & legal review, employee and supervisor training, to employer representation in workers’ compensation and unemployment claims, to legal defense of harassment and discrimination claims in state and federal courts.  Jennifer is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Specialist in Labor and Employment Law.  She has written several articles and spoken at numerous seminars and to community business groups on employment law topics, including COSE’s Small Business Conference (2013 & 2014).  She is the legal advisor to Your Partner in HR.

Jennifer has been named both a “Super Lawyer” (2015) and a “Rising Star Super Lawyer” (2005) by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine, which identifies outstanding Ohio lawyers who have demonstrated superior professional potential.
